Function  
The saw unit of a circular cross-cut and mitre-box saw is raised from its base position by hand and pressed onto the surface to be sawn. The saw blade is then guided through the material from this position.
   
The movement of the saw blade consists of a linear and a swivel motion. The movement mechanisms of the device are fitted with springs that act in the direction of the initial position. A spring also draws a cover over the saw blade as soon as it is withdrawn from the material. This device acts as a safety feature.

Requirements

For making mitre-box cuts, the saw unit can be swivelled horizontally to left or right by up to 45. The unit can also be tilted from the vertical to the left by up to 45. The saw is suitable for cutting wood, non-ferrous metals and plastics.
